Join our Riyadh team as a Rare Disease Product Specialist for the Central region and use your expertise to improve access and outcomes for patients living with rare diseases.
Your new role
As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the business plan for your geographical area to ensure that the company objectives and sales targets are achieved. In addition, you will measure, track, evaluate, and present key metrics: prescription depth and breadth planning.
Your main accountabilities include:
- Contribute to the national business plan by achieving targets through the implementation of marketing and promotion strategies aimed at effectively presenting and promoting Novo Nordisk product(s) to healthcare practitioners.
- Take an entrepreneurial approach and you will be expected to operate with a high level of ownership.
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding of customer needs.
- Anticipate and adapt action plans to maximize opportunities and address challenges excelling in making things happen through diligent and timely follow-up.
- Work across different external stakeholders including but not limited to Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians, pharmacists, and hospital management.
Your new department
The Rare Disease Sales Team leads Novo Nordisk’s product portfolio in the field of RBDs “rare bleeding disorders” and REDs “rare endocrine disorders” in Saudi Arabia, which includes world-class therapies for the treatment of these rare diseases. As part of the team, you will be responsible for promoting Novo Nordisk products and have frontline exposure to our portfolio vision, business strategies, and critical market insights that drive our business forward. You will drive the Novo Nordisk portfolio strategy to ensure that the latest therapies and products reach the people who need them most.
Your skills & qualifications
As a Product Specialist, you need to be a self-starter, one who can evaluate options and find resolutions on your own with minimal supervision. Nevertheless, you need to have an attitude for learning and an ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information, as well as value propositions for the product(s) under your responsibility.
Main accountabilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharma is a must; Postgraduate or master’s degree is a plus
- 1 – 2 years of experience in sales within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in English is a must.
- Experience in Rare Disease will be a plus.
- Entrepreneurship mindset, you are a strong Influencer and an exceptional team player.
- Position is based in Riyadh central region with ability to travel.
- Saudi national.
