The Position

As a Project Director in GCM DP LM Projects you will have the opportunity to take lead in one of our most important projects. You will be responsible for a Green Field project for a state-of-the-art new manufacturing site covering all the Novo Nordisk manufacturing process and our newest products.

The project must be executed in a strong collaboration with our Contract Manufacturing Organisation (CMO) partner in Saudi Arabia with a robust Technology Transfer between Novo Nordisk (NN) and the partner as the main objective. That includes:

  • Building competences among the Saudi Arabian team and ensuring that all Novo Nordisk processes requirements are met.
  • acting as a leader among the NN team and a mentor towards the Saudi Arabian partner
  • ensuring that all Novo Nordisk best practise solutions are brought to CMO partner
  • being the cornerstone in the communication between the CMO partner, GCM DP and NN affiliate in Riyadh.
  • supporting the CMO partner in building the right manufacturing organization including processes and systems.

In the early stages of the project your psychical location will be defined by your current location. Most of the work can be in a virtual setting with some travelling to Denmark and Saudi Arabia. Later, when the project activities will be mainly at the construction site of the CMO partner (in Riyadh), your job will transform into an expat position until the completion of the project. You can read about Saudi Arabia here, and their Health Sector Transformation Program here.

You will be supported by a NN project team of senior project managers and subject matter experts. Several will be joining you under expat terms for longer periods during the peak periods of the project as well as during the ramp-up phase. Other team members will support the project virtually and through frequent travels to Saudi Arabia.
