About the department

The position
As a Product Specialist, you will be part of the sales team in Novo Nordisk who are frontline obsessed. Whether meeting people in person or communicating virtually, we always have the energy and enthusiasm to meet them with the right solutions, at the right time. The role involves more than just selling, sales team also play an integral role in educating Health Care Professionals (HCPs) on how to achieve the possible treatment outcomes with our products. 
As a leader of your territory, you are expected to:

  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan for the geographical area to achieve company objectives.
  • Measure, track, and evaluate key metrics including prescription depth and breadth, effort review, budget management, and return on investment.
  • Contribute to the national business plan by achieving sales goals through effective marketing and sales strategies targeting healthcare practitioners.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and adapt action plans to maximize opportunities and address challenges.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders such as physicians, pharmacists, and hospital management, and work cross-functionally across Business Unit GLP-1 & Obesity and beyond to maximize Novo Nordisk product sales.
     

Qualifications

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a science or business-related subject or equivalent.
  • You have minimum 2 years of experience in Sales within pharmaceutical, consumer or healthcare industry, with a demonstrated track record based on exceptional commercial acumen and selling skills. 
  • Intermediate computer skills required (Windows, Word, Excel); prior computer experience using sales data/call reporting software ideal.
  • Aptitude for learning and ability to convey technical and scientific product and disease management information, as well as value preposition for the product(s) under responsibility.
