The position 

As a Commercial Account Manager, you will: 

  • Manage key accounts through comprehensive account planning, supply assurance, demand forecasting, stock rotation, replacements, and oversight of full commercial operations. 

  • Identify new commercial opportunities and innovative business models through current and emerging pharmacy channels. 

  • Drive the commercial execution of the institutional business.  

  • Lead negotiation and execution of commercial contracts and agreements, including pricing, discount structures, conditions, credit notes, and compliance with commercial policies. 

  • Monitor and analyse pharmaceutical market trends, competitor activity, customer demand changes, and regulatory updates across assigned countries. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, Quality, Marketing, and Access teams to ensure integrated and effective account management.

 

Qualifications 

To succeed in this role, you should have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus. 

  • 5 years of experience in sales, negotiation, distributor management, inventory management, forecasting, and the S&OP process. 

  • Strong understanding of private pharmaceutical markets, ideally with experience in OTC companies, pharmacy chains or distributors. 

  • Understanding of institutional business dynamics and processes.  

  • Excellent knowledge of the Ecuador pharmaceutical market; experience in other Latin American markets is a strong plus. 

  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and process-oriented mindset, initiative, analytical thinking (especially in Excel), and the ability to work cross-functionally in complex environments; excellent communication skills required; English proficiency is a plus but not mandatory.

This position is based in Ecuador, where you will join a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to making a difference in the pharmaceutical landscape. Geography of responsibility will include other countries in Latin America.
