Your impact begins here

As Clinical Research Associate, you will be the link between Novo, clinical trial sites and study teams in France. You will make sure trials run to protocol, data can be trusted and the safety and rights of every trial participant are protected. Using risk-based monitoring, you will spot issues early and help sites deliver on time and to high quality. Your work helps move new treatments closer to the people living with serious chronic diseases who need them.

What you’ll bring

You know how to run high-quality trials at site level, and you build the kind of relationships that keep studies moving. You will also bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
  • 1+ years’ experience in clinical trial monitoring, or in a relevant pharmaceutical industry or CRO role.
  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements and clinical trial methodology, and a track record of compliant, high-quality trial execution.
  • Strong organisational, time management and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities with close attention to detail.
  • Confidence using digital trial tools, including EDC systems, CTMS and eTMF.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, risk identification and decision-making, working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel to sites as required.
  • Fluency in French and professional English.

Useful, but not essential:

  • Hands-on experience applying risk-based quality management (RBQM) principles in study conduct.
  • Experience supporting audits or regulatory inspections.

What you’ll do

You will oversee your assigned trial sites from monitoring through to inspection readiness, making sure every study delivers reliable data while protecting the people taking part.

  • Act as the primary liaison between Novo, clinical sites and cross-functional study teams, building strong relationships with investigators and site staff.
  • Conduct on-site and remote monitoring visits in line with the Monitoring Plan, Protocol, ICH-GCP, internal SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect patient safety and data integrity by reviewing site data, resolving discrepancies, managing adverse events and keeping data cleaning on track.
  • Track site performance, recruitment and retention, and resolve site-level issues early to keep timelines and quality on target.
  • Apply RBQM principles to identify, assess and reduce risks, maintain inspection readiness and support audits and inspections.
  • Train and support sites on protocols, procedures and systems, and manage investigational medicinal product, study supplies, essential documents and the Investigator Trial Master File.
  • Share site feedback and insights to improve protocols, patient engagement and operational planning.

Who you’ll work with

You will join the Operations Excellence & Study Start-up team at the Clinical Development Centre in France, part of International Operations, and report to a Clinical Operations Manager.

Day to day, you will work closely with investigators, study nurses, coordinators and pharmacists at your sites, as well as key opinion leaders and vendors. Inside Novo, your closest partners will be Trial Managers, the Study Start-up team, Vendor Managers, trial squads and the Global Project Team, alongside Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs and country management teams.

You will sit at the point where global trial plans meet real sites and real people. By keeping communication clear and raising issues early, you help everyone move with speed and confidence.

What you can expect here

You will be trusted to own your sites and make decisions that keep studies on track, supported by colleagues across clinical operations. Your insights from the field will be heard and can shape how trials are planned and run.

You will build your skills through investigator meetings, CRA training sessions and work on a range of trials, and you will be encouraged to explore new technologies and digital tools that improve how we work. Clear performance expectations help you deliver your best work and be recognised for it.
