About the department

The Procurement Analyst position falls under the Business Support department, which plays a crucial role within Novo Nordisk. This department consists of a dedicated team of four members plus a manager, and it reports directly to the Director of Business Support. The Procurement, Logistics & Planning Manager is heavily involved in overseeing procurement operations, particularly focused on strategic procurement, while currently, one team member is dedicated to operational procurement activities. We aim to shift some of this strategic responsibility to the Procurement Analyst role to create a more balanced approach.

Recognizing the strategic importance of procurement, we aim to evolve this role to include a greater focus on strategic decision-making related to supplier selection. The procurement department not only provides essential support across the organization but also wields significant decision-making authority in supplier selection processes. By enhancing this position, we strive to ensure that both operational and strategic aspects of procurement are effectively managed to drive the organization’s objectives forward.

We foster a collaborative environment where new ideas are welcomed, and team members are encouraged to actively contribute to our mission of helping people lead healthier lives.
