We are looking for an opportunity to utilize your analytical and financial skills in a dynamic environment and bring your valuable experience. This position is cover for maternity leave.
Your new role
As a Finance & Operations Specialist, you will provide essential accounting support to approximately 100 employees in our Czech branch. In this specialist position, you will report directly to the Finance and Operations Director and collaborate with the accounting team. You will be responsible for processing and coordinating accounting documentation between local departments with support from the Centre of Excellence for Accounting and the Global Shared Service Centre.
Your main accountabilities will include:
- Managing local accounting processes, including journal entries during month-end and annual closing.
- Documenting invoices and maintaining accurate accounting records to support operational efficiency.
- Recording logbooks, meal allowance, and payroll documents, including Concur travel reports.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Supporting audit documentation and facilitating adherence to accounting processes.
- Developing and improving accounting processes to enhance workflow efficiency.
Your skills & qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A graduate degree in economics or accounting.
- Knowledge of accounting processes and CAS Standards, with 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in English (verbal and written).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, coupled with a proactive work ethic.
- A positive mindset and strong analytical thinking abilities to solve problems effectively.
