This role is based in Bohumil, Jevany.
The position
Your main responsibilities start with the collection of data needed for ESG reporting, and coordination with the people responsible in the company. Monitoring changes within local and EU regulations corresponding to ESG and EHS. Cooperation and preparation of documents for environmental permits. Support EHS projects, initiatives and implementation of the requirements system.
Your other main responsibilities will be:
• Leadership and support in employee safety issues.
• Initiating and preparing the development (updating) of internal safety rules, procedures and measures.
• Collaboration with senior staff in the risk assessment program. Cooperation with the parent company and coordination of mutual action
• Support in implementing corrective and preventive measures.
• Conducting regular inspections, maintaining contact with relevant authorities.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
• Completed at least secondary school education ideally in technical field
• Experience in health and safety field or risk prevention is an advantage
• Experience in a manufacturing company is a great advantage
• User knowledge of MS Office
• Communication skills in Czech and English
• Good organizational and communication skills, goal orientation
• Strong, dynamic, decisive personality with the ability to listen
About the department
Department EHS/ESG is part of the Technical Support team in a pharmaceutical manufacturing company. This department is focused on protection the environment, protection the safety of employees from the hazards of worksites and health of employees. Department manages compliance with the vast array of environmental laws that protect environmental resources for all citizens. This can include managing staff training, incident reporting, safety procedures, and regular inspection requirements. An integral part is fire protection. Team is responsible for ex-ample for securing of equipment, fire safety equipment and material, preparation and monitoring of conditions for firefighting and rescue work (free access roads, boarding areas, escape routes, free access to emergency exits, witch boards, water, gas, heating, material means of fire protection), also for marking the workplace with safety, informational and fire signs.
Other role of this department is ensuring security. Department participates in the complete provision and control of facility security (training for employees - initial and periodic, development of security documentation, regular evaluation, risk assessment, submission of reports, inspections, development of audit documentation).
An integral part is the question of sustainability, which is solved by ESG part of the department. ESG is fundamentally based on environment (ecological impact of company like carbon emissions, resource conversation etc.), social (relationships with its employees, communities, and broader social impact, including diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives), and governance (ESG), which require similar technical expertise as EHS — albeit with a differing perspective and understanding of related yet alternative detailed information.
