Your new role

As DOL Medical Advisor, you will lead and coordinate the local DOL engagement strategy as part of Medical Affairs. You will be responsible for translating medical priorities into clear DOL engagement objectives, identifying and prioritising relevant DOLs, building trusted scientific relationships and ensuring that all DOL-related activities are planned, executed and measured in a compliant and medically robust way.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and lead the national DOL engagement strategy, including DOL mapping, segmentation, prioritisation and annual engagement planning aligned with Medical Affairs priorities
• Establish structured engagement plans with priority DOLs, ensuring consistent scientific exchange around key medical milestones, congresses, guideline updates and disease awareness opportunities
• Build and maintain high-quality scientific relationships with priority DOLs and relevant National KOLs, and coordinate DOL-focused activities such as advisory boards, scientific workshops, congress engagements, DOL academies and content co-creation initiatives.
• Provide medical ownership for DOL engagement materials and initiatives, ensuring scientific quality, appropriate documentation, transparent collaboration, fair market value considerations and alignment with Legal, Ethics, Compliance and Pharmacovigilance requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Customer Engagement, Marketing, Communications/Public Affairs, Legal, Ethics and Compliance, Pharmacovigilance and external partners to build a sustainable DOL operating model.
• Define and track DOL engagement impact through relevant measures such as mapped and prioritised DOLs, engagement frequency, participation in medical activities, content reach, audience engagement, qualitative insights and progression of scientific advocacy.
• Ensure all DOL activities are non-promotional, evidence-based and compliant with internal policies, local regulations and Novo Nordisk governance standards.
• Support medically relevant eHealth initiatives by identifying opportunities to connect DOL engagement with digital health education, patient pathway optimisation and evidence-based healthcare ecosystem collaboration.

Your new department

You will join the Medical and Regulatory organisation in Czech Republic, where collaboration, innovation and patient focus are at the core of everything we do. The team plays a critical role in generating scientific insights, supporting evidence-based decision-making and ensuring meaningful engagement with the healthcare ecosystem.

Working closely with Medical Affairs, Customer Engagement, Marketing, Communications/Public Affairs, Legal, Ethics and Compliance, Pharmacovigilance and other key stakeholders, you will help establish a sustainable DOL engagement model for the Czech affiliate. You will also collaborate with external healthcare professionals, agencies and digital partners to enable scientifically credible, compliant and impactful DOL engagements that support improved understanding of serious chronic diseases.

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a medically credible professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills, sound understanding of healthcare communication and the ability to build structured DOL engagement plans. You bring:

• A university degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Healthcare or a related scientific field; an advanced scientific or medical qualification is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Advisor, MSL (Medical Scientific Liaison), scientific engagement or related healthcare/pharmaceutical roles with experience in stakeholder engagement including KOL/DOL engagements or medical education responsibilities is preferred
• You are a curious, scientifically grounded and externally focused professional who can translate medical priorities into meaningful DOL engagement, build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and strengthen credible, evidence-based scientific dialogue in digital and hybrid environments.
• Strong understanding of DOL engagement principles, including DOL mapping, segmentation, prioritisation, scientific exchange, content co-creation, social media dynamics and impact measurement.
• Solid knowledge of compliance, medical governance, pharmacovigilance and transparency requirements related to HCP and DOL engagements
• High level of English and Czech (written and spoken), enabling effective interaction with local healthcare professionals and international cross-functional teams
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, project management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across complex, matrix organisations and with external scientific stakeholders

• Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 1.358.550 to 2.309.550 CZK, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
• Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
