The Position

This key role contributes to the development of the supply chain business strategy and executes the strategy with downstream channel customers by ensuring compliance with distribution agreements. Serves as the dedicated point of contact, both externally and internally, for wholesalers.

 

Relationships

Reports to the Director, Wholesaler Strategy & Channel Operations and is in direct contact with national and regional wholesalers, as well as other downstream channel customers. This role partners closely with Directors / Managers in Finance, National Account Directors/Managers in Market Access, Supply Chain, Legal, Pricing.

 

Essential Functions

  • Manage relationships with wholesalers and other downstream customers while serving as an escalation point both internally and externally
  • Deliver analyses and insights to inform supply chain and wholesaler strategy, including alternate models, collaborate with a cross-functional team to bring strategy to life by drafting and executing agreements
  • Lead programs to enable timely product launches and discontinuations, including but not limited to generating incentives, enabling commercial tactics, collecting, and assembling product data, activating / deactivating associated data & reporting
  • Own the design, obtainment, and refinement of data from wholesalers and other downstream customers essential to enabling analyses and reporting
  • Identify sales trends; engage with wholesale counterparts to identify the root cause and generate insights
  • Generate operational insights, through analysis of wholesaler and market data, and present to cross-departmental teams
  • Guide assessments and validation of wholesaler performance and fees earned
  • Ensure optimal supply of product to the market, timely communication of any developments to wholesalers, and lead resolution of product availability issues

 

Physical Requirements

This position is onsite in Plainsboro, NJ.

0-10% overnight travel required.

 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required
  • A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience.  Advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years' experience
  • Experience within the life sciences industry and/or channel strategy & operations preferred
  • Proven track record of collaboration across multiple disciplines within organization to deliver results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Proven experience of extensive contact with internal and external customers for Business Partnering is required
  • MS Office skills required with an advanced understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data analytics tools preferred

The base compensation range for this position is $116,810 to $216,100. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
