The Position
The Technical Product Manager is driven by a customer-centric mindset to meet business goals by leading the development of new technology solutions. The Technical Product Manager will play a vital role in realizing strategy, roadmap and execution of key capabilities across a suite of products and solutions that align with business goals and serve our customers. It is a role that requires cross-functional collaboration with product managers, product owners and development teams to develop and support a product.
Relationships
Reports to Associate Director, Product Owner and collaborates with architects and development teams in Information Technology for solution delivery.
Essential Functions
- Execute and manage product vision defined by product owners
- Work with stakeholders – mainly product owners and product managers - to establish and manage the product roadmap
- Analyse customer requirements, build, prioritize and maintain product backlog
- Evaluate, handle/mitigate technical risks on an ongoing basis
- Assess new products to measure their potential value and conduct capability analysis regularly
- Align with stakeholders, implementers and Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure product viability
- Create success criteria for testing and product acceptance
- Be an evangelist and subject matter expert to the suite of products and solutions
- Understand several perspectives in the development process including technology dependencies, needs of the user, capabilities of developers, vision of the stakeholders and assess where product(s) stand in the market from a competitive standpoint
- Work with very limited direction. Determines technical objectives of the assignment/project
- Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field required. Relevant experience may be substituted when appropriate. Advanced degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Computer Science, IT, programming/systems analysis or other related experience required
- 1+ year experience in Agile methodologies is required
- Project/initiative lead experience is required
- Proven ability to seek new and innovative solutions
- Experience with Salesforce, preferably Healthcloud/Lifesciences and similar technologies required
- Experience in applying systematic and rigorous analytic methods to improve business processes and their enabling applications is required
- Self-sufficiency and ability to query code/databases, identify issues/gaps and proactively investigate and escalate problems with proposed solutions is required
- Knowledge of Salesforce data model, Apex code, Salesforce Flows, operating systems, relational database architectures, query languages and interface, standard programming environments, data integration tools, data flows, application integration solutions and web-based information solutions
- Ability to act as a project lead to a cross-functional project team in the development and implementation of processes and programs
- Cross-functional team collaboration experience required (e.g. with brand/other LoB stakeholders)
- Self-sufficiency and ability to query code/databases, identify issues/gaps and proactively investigate and escalate problems with proposed solutions is required
The base compensation range for this position is $120,300 to $222,600. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
