The Position

Lead implementation and support of MA Operations Systems (i.e. medical insights system, MedComms/Portals) Assumes functional ownership and partners with line of business and IT colleagues in managing medical CRM from concept to production, including maintenance, upgrade, troubleshooting, test scripts. User acceptance testing (UAT), implementation of new versions, end user training and creating reports as required. Drive and oversee deployment of innovative solutions that support field effectiveness, efficiency and enablement via MA operational systems and platforms This individual must collaborate with departments cross functional departments to understand, address and present solutions to meet business priorities through systems and platforms. Partnering with IT and NNI Veeva CRM teams to shape solutions aligned to medical affairs priorities. Develop and maintain operational procedures and standards in collaboration with key NNI functions and aligned with, SOPs and guidelines Provide operational oversight for all systems and communication channels utilized by Medical Affairs

 

Relationships

This position reports to the Director, Medical Affairs Omnichannel Operations and is part of the Strategy Planning and Medical Omnichannel Team Additional key internal NNI relationships include Medical Affairs therapy areas and other CMR functions as well as NNI CRM and IT teams.

 

Essential Functions

  • Lead the exploration of new capabilities/technology anticipating the future needs of the medical affairs organization
  • Responsible for MA operations systems vendor management including input into budget planning, forcasting and oversight
  • Drive current MA operations systems, processes and technology to ensure operational effectiveness. Proactively identify process improvement initiatives when needed
  • Demonstrate project management skills and leadership for new and existing system enhancements and maintain operational procedures and standards in collaboration with key stakeholders and aligned with NNI policies, SOPs and guidelines
  • Ensure Medical Affairs has optimal tools & resources to enable & evolve customer engagement
  • Collaborate effectively with external vendors and internal stakeholders to continually refine MA systems and platforms
  • Support web content operations and contributing to site strategy, with exposure to Adobe Cloud Manager for release processes
  • Work with Adobe Experience Platform and/or Customer Data Platform teams to help consolidate stakeholder data, support consent processes, and assist with audience segmentation for email and web initiatives
  • Knowledge of email communication workflows, including configuring message sequences, building basic engagement pathways, and monitoring distribution metrics across HCP audiences

 

Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.

 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor 's degree required
  • PMP certification Preferred
  • A minimum of 7+ years of progressively responsible project management experience required
  • Experience in Medical Affairs preferred
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and technique and process improvement
  • Demonstrated excellent communication (written, verbal and presentations) and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional team interaction
  • Excellent collaborator with ability to build and maintain relationships with people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong strategic mindset, understanding of market needs and demonstrated understanding of legal and regulatory environment of pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills. Capability to turn data into insights and provide recommended actions based on a solid knowledge of the business
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
  • Self-confident with a growth-mindset and continually focused on product improvement, innovation and results. Ability to engender trust and respect of peers and superiors
  • Presentable, highly articulate, goal-oriented, with high integrity and strong ethics

 

The base compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $185,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.  
 
Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
