The Position

Responsible for managing the relationship with national wholesalers providing key account management services and driving strategic alignment initiatives or opportunities. Acts as a liaison for wholesalers (national and regional) and Novo Nordisk as account specific operational items arise. Conduct routine review of inventory levels, on-time & in-full (OTIF) performance and financial transaction assessment in accordance with the DSA (Distribution Service Agreements or similar agreements). Responsible for senior management level reporting on Wholesaler performance. Support Director of Wholesaler strategy with DSA update/establishment.

 

Relationships

Reports to the Director, Wholesaler Strategy in Supply Chain. This role is in contact with all wholesalers in US and Puerto Rico. Works closely with legal, market access trade teams, finance, sales, chargebacks, demand planning and customer service/order management.

 

Essential Functions

  • Supply Chain Wholesaler Channel Support: inventory oversight, ordering patterns, shipping schedule changes, issue resolution with regards product availability, key escalation point for wholesalers etc.
  • Allocation of inventory: to optimize appropriate stock levels across the wholesale channel
  • Financial transaction assessment: Service fees, performance based KPI review, deductions, returns and chargebacks
  • Responsible for new product launch planning: with wholesalers, extended dating and off invoice discount
  • Collaborate with Sales Reporting: on sales fluctuations, inventory levels and outbound activity to support the business analysis
  • Manage the Pharmacy Stocking Mailbox: to research and resolve reported product availability issues
  • Account Management: Relationship management with national and regional wholesalers in the US and Puerto Rico. Drives effective operations and identifying opportunities for efficiencies
  • Support the Director with Distribution Service Agreement (DSA) updates or establishment
  • Support Market Access Trade teams with operational insight and help in execution of their channel strategies/plans
  • Reporting on wholesaler performance to senior level management using tools, systems and analytics

 

Physical Requirements

10-20% overnight travel required.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days a week onsite in Plainsboro, NJ.

 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required
  • A minimum 7 years’ relevant experience. Advanced degree can be substituted for 2 years’ experience
  • Pharmaceutical and or wholesaler channel experience is preferred
  • Proven track record of collaboration across multiple disciplines within organization to deliver results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven experience of extensive contact with internal and external customers for Business Partnering is required
  • MS Office skills required with an advanced understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data analytics tools preferred
