The Position
This job exists to drive risk reporting, strategic projects, and ad hoc tasks for the North American Finance Organization. The primary role in the team will be to drive the enterprise risk reporting process in NNI. The position will also have responsibility for projects and tasks related to execution of strategic projects across Finance & Supply Chain with the goal of progressing the organization towards realizing its strategic aspirations.
Relationships
This individual will report to a Director in Finance. Daily, the individual in this position will interact with stakeholders across the Finance organization with frequent interaction at the manager, senior manager, and director level. Moreover, on a semi-regular basis the job will also interact with the VP and SVP in F&O. In addition, the individual will have some interaction with Chiefs of Staff, VPs, and SVPs across the NNI organization in connection to the work this person will do for Risk reporting. There will be moderate global interaction in this position during the quarterly work on Risk Reporting when this person will collaborate with the Global Risk Office. The position does not have any direct reports.
Essential Functions
- Manage the Enterprise Risk Reporting Process on behalf of NNI, which includes quarterly updates and submissions to HQ.
- Lead semi-annual risk workshops with leaders from across the organization. These workshops will focus on identifying new risks as well as updating current risks that have been identified.
- Structure an updated, more comprehensive Risk Profile approach, ensuring input from across NNI on risk as well as increased ownership of risks from senior LT members
- Update current risk reporting in line with information gathered. Perform quantitative analysis to assess risks.
- Validate and challenge risks submitted
- Collaborate with Director of team and Global Risk Office as well as NNI ET on finalizing risk picture
- Driving Local/Global Finance Strategy Projects
- Working with the Director of the team to translate global finance strategy aspirations into local aspirations and define initiatives to reach those aspirations
- Independently manage and execute projects working closely together with respective F&SC LT members and their organizations to fulfil aspirations
- Communicate around strategic finance initiatives to the F&SC organization
- Ad hoc tasks for the F&SC organization
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or other related area
- Experience Level: Minimum 7 years relevant experience in project management, or finance, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. MBA graduate with at least 5 years’ experience will also be considered
- Required specific or technical job skills:
- Strong data/process flow, analytical, and PowerPoint skills required
- Proactive, high energy and driven to complete projects
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to utilize time effectively; sets priorities to manage multiple projects with time sensitive deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially targeted towards senior management
- Proven track record for stakeholder management, specifically on complex, cross-functional projects
The base compensation range for this position is $120,300 to $222,600. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
