The Position
Provides comprehensive support to our Group Vice President of Clinical, Medical and Regulatory Affairs (CMR). Performs a wide range of highly diverse and confidential complex assignments. Requires a high level of discretion and collaboration across the organization including with global NN stakeholders. Monitors access and redirect correspondence on behalf of the executive based on priorities he/she sets.
Relationships
Directly supports a member of the Executive Team. Interacts with internal and external stakeholders at the executive level requiring complex problem solving and calendar management, tact, influence, confidentiality, and advanced international business travel expertise. Stakeholders include local and global HQ and affiliates including executive level stakeholders. Strategically provides direction/coordination of workflow within the department/function and/or cross functionally. Memberships include the CMR Leadership Team, US Operations Executive Leadership Team Administrators, and including the global Research & Development administrative team. Develops and maintains as needed relationships with critical external stakeholders.
Essential Functions
- This role is an office based in Plainsboro, NJ.
- Collaborates closely with other executive administrators, business leaders and global colleagues.
- Coordinate executive level meetings including the master calendar for the division.
- Executes agenda, output and actions from CMR Leadership Team meetings. Advance skill in taking minutes a plus.
- Executes agenda, output and actions for critical executive level meetings, including executive level stakeholders from within and outside the company
- Designs, plans, and executes moderate to large scale meetings and off-sites in collaboration with the Strategic Advisor.
- Functions autonomously, exercises discretion and sound judgment, and works independently on a variety of assignments and special projects including an ability to multi-task a large volume of work on a daily basis.
- Executive travel support including experience in international travel required including knowledge in travel procedures for international travel including visa requirements, etc.
- Prepares executive for all meetings including material prep and advance coordination with subject matter experts for executive briefings.
- Manage and engage key stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally—including HQ, global affiliates, and external partners—to ensure effective coordination and delivery of executive priorities.
- May lead moderately complex projects within own department or that have a cross functional nature.
- May provide support to team members for general administrative needs such as presentation development, greeting guests, and new hire onboarding
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 8 years of advanced executive administrative experience required. Advanced training or administrative certification a plus.
- A demonstrated ability to handle complex sensitive and confidential information.
- A high level of business acumen required to interact with all levels inside and outside of the organization including HQ, global affiliates and external partners.
- Proven capability to manage multiple complex priorities through a highly structured, disciplined approach, exercising sound judgment in delegation and execution.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations governing the industry and ability to facilitate impromptu inspections, audits and planned visits by the FDA preferred
- Ability to understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities.
- Requires expertise and a high degree of initiative, innovation, and independent action
- Requires demonstrated computer skills and use of Microsoft Office.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of the job and a wide and comprehensive understanding of the policies and practices of the organization. Requires a strong understanding of the Company's goals and the strategy to attain them.

- Ability to take meeting minutes and record actions.
- Demonstrated agility with a proven ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed, complex, fast paced organizations
The base compensation range for this position is $70,400 to $123,200. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
