The Position

This role will have accountability for developing and delivering on digital solutions, particularly in the areas of automation, integration, and AI. This role will collaborate with business partners and other IT stakeholders to ensure priorities, quality, and risk are managed and that opportunities to improve business processes via automation technology is implemented efficiently.

 

Relationships

This position reports to a member of the IT Leadership Team.  The position has day-to-day interaction with lines of business whom it supports, prioritizing and defining requirements. Incumbent also has frequent interaction with global initiatives in related areas. In addition, the position works with all levels of management and staff throughout Novo Nordisk IT to implement and support business solutions.

 

Essential Functions

  • Liaise with global teams on effective management of platforms e.g. Microsoft Power Platform
  • Develop and maintain platform usage guidelines
  • Manage team of solution architects to design and implement automation solutions
  • Manage day to day DevOps processes to streamline new development activities; manage the automation portfolio
  • Need to be able to influence various stakeholders to challenge established processes and collaborate effectively across team members and other stakeholders
  • Lead communication
  • An understanding of the cross-functional requirements their solutions must meet in order to deliver solutions rapidly. This goes beyond development and operations expertise to include a foundational knowledge of security, architecture and engineering concepts
  • Tracking and communication of business value generated to help identify new use cases
  • Manage releases and coordinate with development resources, QA/QC and security teams

 

Physical Requirements

10-20% overnight travel required

 

Qualifications

  • Education Level:
    • Bachelors degree in business, information systems, computer science, or related field preferred
  • Experience Level:
    • Minimum 7 years experience within IT, software development, or innovation function. Must have relevant experience across software development, infrastructure and operations
  • Specific or technical job skills:
    • Required expert level knowledge of low/no code application platforms, integration tools and data management platforms. Experience in healthcare/life sciences (GxP) a plus
    • Experience with complex system integration technologies

 

 

The base compensation range for this position is $120,300 to $222,600. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
