The Position

The Senior Analyst-Field Force Incentives provides Incentive Compensation analytical and project support to the field sales teams. The Senior Analyst will perform analysis to drive Incentive Compensation decisions and strategy. The Senior Analyst will assist in the management of the Incentive Compensation vendors and ensure the workflow of standard processes. Furthermore, the Senior Analyst will act as a liaison between the field sales team and the FFE IC team.



This position reports to the Director, Field Force Incentives. The Senior Analyst interacts intensively with members of specific Sales teams, as well as other teams within Commercial Effectiveness. External relationships include IC service providers, data providers, and Information Technology developers.


Essential Functions

  • Incentive Compensation Support
    • Process Payroll files
    • Support documentation of IC Plans and processes
    • Support in-sourcing initiatives within Incentive Compensation
    • Support national contest and COE development, processing, and communication
    • Support special projects as needed
    • Participate in pre-POA and POA meetings as necessary
  • Incentive Compensation Analysis
    • Collaborate with senior management providing necessary data and analysis
    • Ensure scorecards for the sales team are created, quality checked, and distributed
    • Manage day to day process tasks for Sales IC bonus program
    • Manage special analytical projects related to the specific sales IC with significant business impact (e.g., Siebel Dashboards, enhancements, training and communication, reporting automation)
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis in regards to the sales IC plan; translate sales data into presentation format to support senior management in identifying trends and opportunities in the business
    • Provide analytical and strategic support to field sales


Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required.



  • A bachelor’s degree in Math, Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field required
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical or health care industry experience required
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of sales field structure, strategies, and data
  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical data
