The Position

Serves as lead for all Electronic Health Record (HER) Field Support Initiatives including, EHR Navigator, the EHR Help Desk and related reporting and communications. Develops and executes general EHR training and communication for all Field Forces as well as any ad hoc training required to respond to a field need or product launch. Serves as point of contact for brand/portfolio related EHR tactics, including providing guidance, Promotional Review Board (PRB) support (as needed) and reporting needs. Coordinates priorities of activities with Senior Manager EHR Strategy & Execution. Ensures initiatives are aligned to key managed markets and brand strategies by proactively communicating with Marketing Brand teams and other stakeholders prior to implementation. Partners with Brand teams and other stakeholders to identify issues and evaluates return on investment (ROI)/impact of services/programs. Manages Vendor relationships to execute EHR trainings, compendia submissions, and Non-Personal Promotion (NPP) campaigns in EHR systems on behalf of internal stakeholders.

 

Relationships

Reports to the Director Omnichannel Strategic Enablement. Interacts with all Brand Marketing functions, working in close collaboration with Brand Leads, Field Force Execution & Operations, Digital Operations, Media and other impacted functions. Other internal relationships include Medical, Market Access and Public Affairs (MAPA), Corporate Communications, Regulatory, Sales, Sales Training, Pricing, Contracting, Operations and Reimbursement (PCOR), and Legal.

 

Essential Functions

  • ePRESCRIBING/EMR/EHR:
    • Manages EHR resource development including the EHR Navigator App, field training presentations, field leave behinds and iVA content, requiring leadership of Statement of Work (SOW) approvals, development of new content, execution of required content updates, PRB approvals and field communication
    • Develops and executes training materials/courses to raise an understanding and awareness in home-office and in the field around accurate eprescribing best practices and available EHR support resources including but not limited to the help desk service, educational webinars, new employee onboarding/training
    • Manages EHR Help Desk and all field communications related to eprescribing issues in EHRs; identifies trends/issues that need to be escalated, ensure timely follow up and reporting to key stakeholders
    • Addresses identified eRx (aka ePrescribing) issues and facilitates resolution
    • Ensures EHR brand marketing initiatives are aligned with brand/portfolio strategic imperatives and executed in partnership with NPP Digital Strategy
    • Provides insights to COEs and Brand Teams as a subject matter expert in evaluating and selecting marketing and/or clinical information opportunities within eRX/EMR/EHR systems
    • Takes ownership of EHR campaign execution including implementation of SOWs and development of creative assets
    • Participates in PRB review of EHR Programs and other digital assets
    • Assures compliance with NNI Corporate Visual Identity standards and Legal, Regulatory and Medical requirements
    • Evaluates and executes promotional programs within EHR system communicating out performance and impact
    • Identifies appropriate measurements & ROI and develops comprehensive reporting to evaluate effectiveness of EHR marketing campaigns with regard to placement for best customer experience
    • Manages EHR partner vendor communications
    • Works with eRx/EMR/EHR companies, compendia and NCPDP to develop and enforce standards, identify any potential EHR hurdles that will reduce the challenges HCPs may face when prescribing NNI products electronically

 

Physical Requirements

10-20% overnight travel required.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry with related experience in areas such as brand marketing, digital HCP Marketing, eRx/EMR/EHR/HIT, Field Force Training & Operations or other relevant experience required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Some Project management experience
  • Knowledge of Veeva, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point preferred
  • Planning, Execution and Follow-Up: Effectively prioritizes and spends his/her time and the time of others on what is important. Develops accurate short- and long-term plans, forecasting and business analysis. Ensures timely execution and follow-up. Meets deadlines. Anticipates problems and roadblocks to avoid crisis management
  • The ability to think analytically, evaluate data and develop programs to test the effectiveness of tactics
