The Diabetes Sales Team leads the US sales efforts for Novo Nordisk’s robust cardiometabolic product portfolio, which includes world class therapies for the treatment of diabetes, obesity, and the reduction of adverse cardiovascular events. The Position

This manager role is responsible for all operations associated with implementing and managing compliant, strategic sales call plans that maximize sales opportunities and drive revenue. The role involves collaborating with NNI insights and analytics personnel to ensure comprehensive call plans are designed that align with company goals and sales strategies. Work with external software teams to make the Call Plan visible and editable for field sales. Engage with Sales Leadership to finalize the call plan and then partner with IT & Operations stakeholders to ensure the Call Plan is incorporated in relevant downstream systems. This role will participate in training field sales personnel to ensure full understanding of the refinement process. Additionally, this position will engage with field sales to evolve the process and systems, to align with business needs. The role will handle all inquiries and manage all files related to the process. The role is responsible for on-time delivery of the final call plan.

 

Relationships

This role reports to the Associate Director, Call Plan Systems and Field Support. This role interacts with all of Operations, Insights & Analytics, Sales, Information Technology, Master Data Management, Legal, Privacy & Compliance employees. Other relationships include interactions with external vendors, consultants, information technology developers and contingent workers.

 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the completion of every call plan delivered on-time and within scope
  • Leads key NNI stakeholders, vendors and consultants to meet objectives and deliver on time
  • Leads the life-cycle management of the field Call Plan refinement application
  • Contributes to the launch of new solutions and enhancements including requirements gathering, training as well as communication and change management plans
  • Understands the business and can lead the evolution of systems and processes to meet current business needs
  • Subject matter expert on all call plan implementation processes including timelines, inputs & outputs
  • Understands intricate back end technical details to guide partners through adjustments, anomalies and enhancements
  • Subject matter expert and participant on core teams for company initiatives/launches/organization changes and provides recommendations for decision making
  • Responsible for the maintenance of important input files related to the call plan
  • Answer queries and perform ad-hoc analysis
  • Responsible for ensuring all inquiries related to the output of the Call Plan are completed in a timely manner
  • Informs on maintaining and developing industry leading Call Plan solutions

 

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required.

 

This role is based out of Plainsboro, NJ. 100% remote work is not available for this position. 

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
  • 3-years’ experience in either call planning, field sales or field sales operations
  • Advanced proficiency in Sales Operations components including CRM, Incentive Compensation, Pharmaceutical Sales & Customer data preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in sales strategies preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a matrixed environment
  • Strong Project Management skills with advanced proficiency in project planning and tracking
  • Ability to translate business requirements to technical solutions
  • Oral and written communication skills that translate with all levels of the organization
