The Program

At Novo Nordisk, interns will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced industry professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. For ten weeks, interns will be immersed in the environment of a global pharmaceutical company and contribute to the line of business by providing sustainable and meaningful project work. Our internship program also includes instructor led trainings, a leadership engagement series, and a guided mentorship program to offer professional and personal development. In addition to individual department responsibilities, interns will also participate in the program's capstone event, the Innovation in Action Case Competition. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative and comprehensive solution to a business problem currently facing Novo Nordisk. At the conclusion of the program, teams will present their findings to a board of top Novo Nordisk officials representing the various lines of business.

 

Program Start: June 1st, 2026

 

Program End: August 7th, 2026

 

The Position

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Commercial Execution team. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting data analytics, sales force projects leveraging AI, and communication strategy and execution. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to turn data insights into actionable recommendations that help optimize commercial programs and field performance. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support data analysis and reporting: clean, aggregate, and visualize commercial and sales performance data to identify trends and opportunities. 

  • Maintain and improve data pipelines and dashboards using tools such as Excel, SQL, and visualization platforms. 

  • Assist with sales force projects that incorporate AI-driven solutions — from data preparation and model evaluation to operationalizing insights for field teams. 

  • Provide day-to-day data support and ad-hoc analyses to the commercial team and field stakeholders. 

  • Contribute to communication strategy and execution: help develop clear, audience-tailored materials (presentations, one-pagers, briefings) that translate analytics into actionable guidance. 

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize requests, and ensure timely delivery of analyses and materials. 

In this position, an intern will gain: 

  • Practical experience working on commercial analytics and AI-enabled projects that directly support the sales force. 

  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration and real-world business problems. 

  • Mentorship and feedback from experienced commercial and data professionals. 

 

Qualifications

  • Must be a current student enrolled or recently graduated (graduation date no earlier than April 2026) at/from an accredited college or university pursuing at least a bachelor’s degree
  • A completed or in progress undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science or a related discipline preferred
  • Preferred class year of a junior or senior 
  • Strong academic record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, must be able to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate with teams; must effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

The base compensation range for this position is $52,000 to $89,000 on an hourly basis. Due to the temporary nature of this program, this position is not eligible to participate in any of the Company's benefit plans and will not be entitled to any paid time off unless otherwise required by applicable law.
