The Position
The Employer Brand Activation Specialist is responsible for developing and executing the talent attraction and employer branding strategies in the United States. They bridge across US affiliates to proactively attract talent and enhance brand awareness, familiarity and desire to work for Novo Nordisk across one of our most critical recruitment markets - the United States.
Relationship
Reporting line: Reports into the Head of Employer Brand Market Activation in the Global Employer Branding & Onboarding Team. The role is an individual contributor role, where the employee interacts with local stakeholders in People and Organization, Communications and Core Recruitment to understand critical local talent needs in the short and long term and develop strategies and tactics to address these – considering various sites and business areas across the country.
He/she works closely with global employer branding team in HQ to ensure these strategies are sufficiently capturing/aligned with global talent attraction priorities and that our global Employer Value Proposition is brought to life in a consistent, yet market-fit and impactful manner in the given market.
He/she will also work closely with the NNI talent attraction manager around robust market level media plans and funding requests.
Essential Functions
- The Employer Brand Activation Specialist is responsible for the talent attraction and employer branding strategy, tactics and execution in the US
- The role involves collaborating relevant stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical workforce needs for talent attraction across all segments from early talent to senior leaders and – based on this - advising on and executing talent attraction initiatives, leveraging and building on global products and services as well as agencies and freelances, where needed. This role is responsible for ensuring our global employer value proposition is brought to life in a consistent yet market-fit manner, helping to move the needle on awareness of our company as an employer as well as boosting familiarity and desire to work for our company
- Work closely with local HR, the business, core recruitments and NNI talent attraction manager to define and carefully prioritize critical workforce needs which require specific talent attraction efforts and should be captured in the talent attraction strategy and yearly plan. These could go across all talent segments from early talent to senior specialists and leaders
- Advise and execute on appropriate initiatives and tactics to address talent attraction needs short and long term, considering the local market context, data and insights and global tools/concepts available. This could include, but is not limited to
- Support with local content and employee stories for always on campaigns
- Create media plans to bring to live our Employer Value Proposition in close collaboration with local Comms
- Plan and execute on recruitment marketing campaigns
- Plan and (ensure) execution of early talent initiatives and events
- Build and maintain relationships with universities, industry contacts, and other sources of potential candidates
- Referral programm
- Collaborate closely with core recruitment team to make sure we get ROI on campaign activities and generated leads are brought to consideration and hiring phase
- Advise and support on employer awards/PR related to these within given market, in accordance with the market talent attraction strategy and global guidelines
- Drive and safeguard consistency and high quality in job ads within the market
- Support/manage recruitment marketing campaigns across the region related to strategic priorities and talent segments
- Drive/support identification and onboarding of preferred vendors at country level where global vendors are not sufficient
- Provide reporting on prioritized EB campaigns activities within market
- Provide inputs on market talent attraction needs to global EB leads, in order to make sure our global products reflect what adds the biggest business value at any given time
Physical Requirements
This position can be based in either Plainsboro, New Jersey or Lexington, Massachusetts.
Limited travel expected, likely including annual trips to global HQ as well as domestic trips to other affiliates for talent outreach related events, as needed. Up to 10-20% overnight travel.
Qualifications
- Education Level: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, branding, communications, human resources, or similar
- Experience Level
- 5+ years of experience working with marketing, branding, coms related to talent attraction (strategic as well as tactical understanding) and with particular experience within campaign management and impact measurement. Ideally experience with university relations/early talent segment
- 3+ years of experience managing LoB, external vendors and HR stakeholders in a global company with complexity like Novo Nordisk
- Specific or technical job skills
- Experience with comms, marketing or employer/corporate branding
- Experience with digital marketing
- Collaborative way of working

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to handle stakeholders at all levels and sometimes conflicting needs
