The Position
The Director of Consumer Models & Strategy leads the development of Novo Nordisk’s enterprise consumer strategy and turns our consumer ambitions into a clear, actionable roadmap.
This role looks across the portfolio to define how Novo Nordisk should evolve its relationship with consumers over time: where we should play, which capabilities and business models will matter most, what strategic choices we need to make, and how those choices translate into a sequenced plan for action.
The Director also leads the Consumer Partnerships capability, using external partnerships to extend Novo Nordisk’s consumer ecosystem, accelerate access to new capabilities and create new sources of value for consumers. Internally known as the Director of Consumer Business Models and Growth Strategy, the role will shape where partnerships can help advance the strategy, and ensure external relationships connect directly to the broader consumer roadmap.
The Director will bring together market dynamics, consumer behavior, competitive developments, emerging channels and internal priorities to create a coherent view of the future and translate that view into decisions, initiatives and milestones that the organization can execute against.
This is a leadership role for someone who can combine enterprise-level strategic thinking with a strong bias toward action. Success means creating clarity where there is ambiguity, focusing the organization on the most important consumer opportunities, building a strong partnerships capability, and ensuring strategy results in an actionable roadmap rather than remaining a long-term aspiration.
Relationships
Reports to the Senior Director of Consumer Model & Experience Strategy. This is a people-manager role leading a team that may include an Associate Director, Consumer Strategy; a Senior Manager, Consumer Models; a Senior Manager, Consumer Partnerships; and a Senior Manager, Consumer Pilots, Measurement & Scale. Partners with Marketing & Patient Solutions (MPS) therapeutic-area leaders, MAPA, Omnichannel, Insights & Analytics, Enterprise and Corporate Strategy, Finance, Market Access, Medical, Legal, Compliance, IT, and external partners. Access and channel economics sit with MAPA and the consumer P&L and CAC/LTV sit with Finance; the Director's mandate is to shape consumer strategy and co-design new channels within those ownership lines. Works closely with the wider Consumer Model & Experience Strategy team so that NovoCare, loyalty, CRM, customer experience, and pilots are built against one coherent consumer model.
