The Position

This position is responsible for operations execution, inventory management and fulfilment activities to ensure reliable product availability and safeguard patient supply. This role collaborates cross-functionally across Planning, Logistics, Quality, Warehousing, and Commercial teams to execute inventory deployment, fulfilment, inbound operations, and supply risk mitigation while driving operational excellence and service performance across the US supply chain.

Relationships

Reports to the Director, USO Demand Planning & Fulfilment. This position regularly interacts with Global Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Order management, 3PL partners and teams supporting global manufacturing and supply chain.

Essential Functions

• Execute activities to balance inventory, capacity, and customer demand across distribution locations
• Manage inventory deployment and stock transfers between distribution centers, ensuring optimal stock levels, warehouse capacity utilization, and adherence to planned lead times
• Oversee inbound logistics execution, including goods receipt, put-away, quality release, and issue resolution to ensure product availability and service reliability
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Warehousing, Quality, Logistics, and Supply Chain partners to prioritize critical shipments, resolve operational constraints, and maintain inventory flow
• Lead inventory control and reconciliation activities, including discrepancy investigation, system adjustments, cycle counts, and annual physical inventories
• Monitor and manage shelf-life risk, FEFO compliance, product disposition, scrapping activities, and replacement inventory planning to minimize write-offs
• Manage consignment and alternate distribution inventory, ensuring accurate inventory records, transaction execution, and compliance with financial and operational requirements
• Support samples recasing and special inventory projects with internal and external stakeholders to support business needs
• Develop and maintain supply scenario models, incorporating demand forecasts, confirmed supply, inventory positions, and risk assessments to support management decision-making
• Drive continuous improvement of inventory management, fulfilment performance, and operational processes while ensuring high service levels and inventory accuracy

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required. Plainsboro, NJ Office based.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in supply chain/ engineering/finance or related field  is required, advanced degree is preferred
• Requires a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible business-related experience, pharmaceutical experience preferred
• Demonstrated supply chain planning and execution experience
• Prior project management experience required
• Experienced in engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• A leader with proven record of consistent high performance delivering results, leading projects, implementing solutions, who is capable of managing complex relationships in a fast-paced and very dynamic environment

The base compensation range for this position is $99,600 to $184,200. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
