The Position

The Culture Forward Strategist will be a visionary leader responsible for driving transformative strategies to promote representation and inclusivity in NNI's marketing efforts. This role will lead initiatives to reach various communities and develop inclusive marketing plans that resonate with diverse patient populations. The initial focus of this role will be in the support of the diabetes therapeutic area, specifically the upcoming Icodec launch.

 

Relationships

Reports to Executive Director Icodec. Collaborates with diabetes HCP/Consumer Experience Strategy, Customer Experience Orchestrator, and other cross-functional teams to develop campaigns and content that resonates with diverse audiences – considering cultural, socioeconomic, and healthcare access factors.

 

Essential Functions

  • Cultural Competence: Develop a deep understanding of the cultural nuances and healthcare preferences of diverse patient populations to inform marketing strategies
  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities and challenges within different demographics and underrepresented communities
  • Multicultural Strategy: Develop strategic approach to reaching diverse communities in support of brand focused efforts. Identify objectives, optimal goals and key messages needed to resonate. Support the development of promotional assets
  • Insights-Driven Marketing: Utilize data and analytics to measure the impact of culture forward efforts and make data-driven adjustments to enhance the customer experience and align with the needs of individualized customer segments
  • Partnership Management: Create partnerships and collaborations with diabetes community organizations, patient advocacy groups, and healthcare providers to amplify the reach of health equity initiatives and understand the unique needs of diverse communities
  • Internal Education: Educate and train marketing teams on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in marketing strategies and content creation; foster a mindset of cultural competency within the marketing organization, encouraging sensitivity to diverse communities and their healthcare needs

 

Physical Requirements

Approximately 20-30% overnight travel.

 

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience, including demonstrated history in marketing with a focus on incorporating equity and inclusivity principles into marketing strategy
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical industry, within diabetes preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies to guide customer experiences
  • Strategic Planning, Execution and follow-through skills
  • Experience with management of outside agencies
  • Passion for promoting health equity and inclusivity in marketing strategies
  • Embodies leadership behaviors, including authenticity, servant leadership, will, empathy, decisiveness, and driving focus and simplicity
