The Position

The Associate Director, Data & Analytics Governance is responsible for the governance of NNI data assets and analytics content throughout key enterprise functions. The Director will set strategy, policies and guidelines for the appropriate use of data across the enterprise, in partnership with Legal, Compliance, Privacy and other critical functions. The Director will help integrate data and technological capabilities to drive governance, including standardization of tokenization capabilities and privacy protection data processes. The Director is required to display strong leadership skills to drive organizational changes and will need to have strong collaboration skills to ensure vision is maintained across various NNI functions.

 

Relationships

The Associate Director, Data & Analytics Governance reports to the Senior Director, Enterprise Data & Analytics Strategy. The role interacts on a regular basis with all levels of leadership within NNI.

 

Essential Functions

  • Lead the evolution of NNI’s data & analytics governance, with a strong focus on enhancing our governance policies, ways of working and guidelines for a landscape with an increased presence of AI and advanced analytics
  • Establish and enforce policies, guidelines and best practices for data and analytics tool usage
  • Chair governance working groups and leadership teams
  • Advise stakeholders on data policies, processes and standards ensuring appropriate use of data
  • Manage the application of governance policies and guidelines with third party vendors
  • Manage organization data definitions and metric calculations
  • Engage with global counterparts to align on global standards and ensure appropriate use of domestic data assets outside of the US
  • Monitor organization data and analytics adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of developing policies, regulations and industry changes that would meaningfully impact our data & analytics governance program
  • Leverage technological solutions to drive data and analytics governance
  • Ensure data privacy and compliance, working closely with Legal, Compliance and Privacy
  • Support data cataloging and metadata management responsibilities
  • Promote data literacy and governance awareness across NNI
  • Monitor and report on governance outcomes

 

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Business Administration or related field is required, with at least 8 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with pharmaceutical data, specifically Xponent, Xponent PlanTrak, DDD and LAAD data is preferred
  • Experience managing data & analytics governance functions required
  • Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, project management and analytical skills
  • Customer focused with excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels within organization
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage vendors, contracts and budget activities required
