The Position

The Associate Director Academy & Franchise, NNI Employee Experience will proactively lead/execute the development of medium to high complexity commercial learning curriculum within Sickle Cell and assigned areas of responsibility. This will get accomplished under the leadership of the Director, Academy & Franchise and business sponsors within the curriculum. This individual will performance consult with client groups to assess business gaps and propose solutions within. Will be responsible to proactively help build and evolve prioritized capabilities in pursuit of measurable business outcomes. Learning solution development should be innovative, while meeting the needs of the modern professional and learner.

 

Relationships

Reports to the Director, Academy & Franchise NNI Employee Experience. Closely collaborates with all levels of management within the business units, when sponsoring or serving as SMEs. Interacts with Field Sales Leadership and/or HO Leadership, Sales Execution, Marketing, Medical staff and other home office personnel regarding NNI training needs and proposed initiatives. Partners closely with Global colleagues (i.e. P&O, Medical, Global Product Directors, etc.). External relationships may include interaction with various outside partners to support In-House and Field L&D needs and/or facilitation. Ownership of National Strategic L&D Initiatives require matrix team leadership to completion of desired project outcome (project core team, business sponsor, training sponsor, stakeholders, client group(s) etc.…)

 

Essential Functions

  • With alignment from the Director, Academy & Franchise, design/develop learning plan & measurement strategies within
  • Build and manage end to end complex curriculum
  • Effectively establish, deepen and sustain key relationships with business leaders and senior level managers to understand their business needs and related performance gaps
  • Lead collaborative efforts with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes; provide feedback and coaching on issues related to learning programs and policies
  • Through performance consulting, identify performance needs and gaps and facilitate delivery of learning solutions to the business, when appropriate
  • Monitor, analyze, interpret, and report internal trends; make recommendations for learning solutions for the division or function, as appropriate
  • Ensure successful learning outcomes by directing the identification and translation of the client’s learning needs into a defined learning strategy and implemented solutions
  • Liaise & partner with Capabilities team colleagues to align on curricula and content
  • Liaise and partner with business management leads, to ensure relevance and value of curriculum
  • Deliver training as appropriate
  • Follow & champion established department SOPs
  • Responsible for learning plan execution and updates within
  • Partner within NNI Employee Experience and Global P&O colleagues to design, develop, curate, co-create learning solutions, as needed

 

Physical Requirements

30-40% overnight travel required.

 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years in pharmaceutical sales, management, and/or sales training experience.  Prior applicable Novo Nordisk experience will apply (For AD, Rare Disease – Rare Disease Experience preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years of front-line or district sales management experience preferred. Experience with leading curriculum, capabilities and learning experience development required.  Marketing and/or sales operations experience a plus.  Design/development experience preferred
  • Executive presence - ability to impact and influence and interact with senior business leaders and partners
  • Proven track record or sales performance results preferred
  • Strategic planning experience within sales or training preferred
  • Strong cross-functional leader and communicator preferred
  • Strong strategic and business analysis skills preferred
  • Presentation skills required.

 

The base compensation range for this position is $116,810 to $216,100. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. 

 

Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
