The Position
The purpose of the Content Management Authoring Lead is to lead the development and execution of digital content authoring across web, email, and digital experiences. Implement and document best practices in content management to support customer experiences across multiple channels. This role involves hands-on building, updating, and evolving digital experiences, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business impact, and coordinating digital content aligned with strategic objectives. The role will develop infrastructure and governance models to support omni-channel digital programs across web, email, and other digital touchpoints. The Content Management Authoring Lead will lead and develop the content management authoring team, providing hands-on guidance and support to ensure alignment with organizational and customer experience goals. Responsibilities include managing digital content platforms, hands-on building and updating of web, email and digital experiences, and overseeing a team of content management authors to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role will drive the adoption of digital technology across functions, create governance models for digital solution utilization, and collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure efficient and high-quality content production across all digital channels.
Relationship
The Content Management Lead will report into the Content Management & Production Lead, within the broader Customer Engagement, Experience Operations team. They provide direct support to Marketing teams, HCP, Patient and Therapeutic Area Leads, Sales and Market Access. The position interacts with multiple NNI internal functions such as Customer Engagement leads, TA/Bands, IT, Marketing Operations, specifically the PRB and NNI Studio teams.
Essential Functions
- Strategy & Execution: Leads the digital content authoring roadmap, implements best practices in digital user experience, and supports content authoring for A/B testing and website performance optimization to enhance user engagement. Understands partner strategies and uses this knowledge to shape discussions and drive business impact. Acts as a trusted partner in coordinating and executing digital content management aligned with strategic business objectives. Develops infrastructure and capabilities for executing omni-channel digital programs, aligning with system requirements, processes, and the future capability roadmap
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop the content management team and content management authoring capabilities along with the content production service. Provide guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the team's success and professional development in alignment with organizational and CX goals
- Project and Product Management: Manages digital content platforms (like AEM), oversees project timelines, and coordinates with teams to deliver digital projects on time and within budget. Work with Product Lead to drive the capabilities roadmap incorporating design system into AEM features to empower content management authors
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Drives adoption of digital technology across various functions, creating and managing governance models for digital solution utilization, workflows, and digital asset management. Collaborate with internal and external teams such as marketing, creative agencies, and IT to ensure efficient content production and management
- Compliances & Best Practices: Ensures strategies are thoroughly vetted, market needs assessed, and technical solutions validated to support viable business models, thereby maintaining competitive advantage. Manages budgets for acquiring new digital capabilities and maintaining existing ones, ensuring financial resources are aligned with project needs
- Measurement, Optimization & Innovation: Demonstrates creativity and innovation in digital solutions, promotes operational excellence, and identifies process improvements to enhance customer experiences. Monitors and analyzes content performance and operational metrics using data insights to develop recommendations for content and process optimizations

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Communications, Project Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience with digital marketing consulting, web operations, web development, marketing firms and/or other related roles required
- Strong knowledge of Content Management Systems related platforms (specifically, Adobe Experience Manager and other Adobe suite of products), processes, architectures, workflows, integrated dependencies, etc.
- Experienced with web operations and web production in supporting digital experiences
- Ability to evaluate key performance indicators to measure the success of specific solutions or additional features that would favorably impact the business
- Strong market/customer centric vision and understanding
- History working with digital consulting or marketing firms in the development and execution of engagement strategy, digital strategies, internal and external messaging, target conversion, etc.
- Ability to evaluate customer needs, service trends, market segmentation as a method to create overarching digital strategies and plans
- Ability to drive adoption of innovative digital solutions across enterprise
- Strong Microsoft Office suite abilities
- Requires experience developing complex business cases
- Self-starter, highly organized, efficient, and capable of leading large meetings and driving them towards a common goal
- Ability to evaluate key business and product metrics to determine specific actions or service feature additions that would favorably impact key metrics
- Strong project management, problem solving and analytical thinking skills
- Requires knowledge of digital strategy delivery and data technologies
- Knowledge of standard and emerging technologies, platforms, support systems, processes, architectures, order flows, integrated dependencies, etc.
- Proven ability to interface with people from various departments, positions, and knowledge levels
The base compensation range for this position is $153K to $267K. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
