The Position
The Project Management Office (PMO) in driving investment projects across the project organization. This role supports the Project Management (PM) Team on execution as well as initiating & maturing initiatives individually. Drive projects and create robust cost plans & tracking systems. Complete assigned projects & project tasks within given parameters. Act as lead for responsibilities in the PMO group including building project portfolio cashflow, projections, linking project costs, & financial reports.
We are hiring two individuals for this role, and are open to hiring at the Project Manager II level, commensurate with necessary experience.
Relationships
Reports to Manager, Senior Manager or Director.
Essential Functions
- Work under the direction of the Senior Project Manager or Manager, Project Management to support the planning, coordination, & evaluation of project reporting
- Works with subject matter experts to identify opportunities that focus on key procurement metrics, cost reductions, risk mitigation, & industry supply trends
- Maintain financial reports for individual project subtasks & provide roll-up reports that summarize the subtasks
- Assists with reviewing funding availability & procurement documentation to ensure conformance to approved project budgets
- Assist with facilitating change management processes to ensure changes are processed in an accurate & timely manner
- Participate in development of project estimates, budgets, forecasts and estimates to complete
- Maintain weekly cost reports; evaluating actual & forecasted costs against budgets & detailed analysis
- Assist with performing earned value analysis, align changes in schedule milestone delivery with cost impacts
- Participate in continuous process improvement via cLEAN®
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Other duties, as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or relevant field of study from an accredited university required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in project management with knowledge in cost control/cost management methods required, preferably in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment or related industries
- Knowledge of large Capital Expenditures (CapEx) projects with focus on PMO roles preferred
