The Position

Serve as a strategic partner to site CVP, overseeing business integration, support, and site strategy. Responsibilities encompass budget management, business performance, leadership, integration of acquired sites, and oversight of various functions, including cLean, training, Circular 4 zero, EHS, finance, IT, and compliance with legislation and regulations.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as key partner for site leadership, managing business integration and site strategy
  • Responsible for oversite of business performance, budget processes and project portfolios
  • Ensure legislative and regulatory compliance, including cGMP and ISO guidelines
  • Responsible for strategic projects & implementation
  • Serve as Financial Business Partner for the site, providing business insight & business value; analyze, budget & forecast financial data
  • Own, manage, execute & support process for purchasing of goods & services, including negotiation of major contracts, development & maintenance of purchasing documents & procedures, strategic sourcing & supplier network management
  • Maintain effective communication, collaboration & alignment across stakeholders, site management & global sites
  • Manage, lead & coach employees in department to ensure a high performing collaborative environment, to include providing continuous feedback, structure & accountability to improve team performance
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other accountabilities as assigned

 

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

Supervisory

Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.

 

Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.

 

Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or relevant field of study from an accredited university required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing organization required, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of five (5) years managing other managers required
  • Proven track record of strategy deployment & long-term target settings
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment & manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proven process improvement & problem-solving skills
