If you are ready to take on a unordinary and rewarding role, we are looking for a Legal, Ethics and Compliance Associate Director to join our team in BASAC Legal, Ethics, Compliance & Quality. 

 

Your new role
As a Legal, Ethics and Compliance Associate Director, you will provide proactive legal and compliance advice to the Clusters (SAM and CAC) and develop strategies to mitigate legal and compliance risks through pragmatic and proactive advice, including contract management, corporate governance, intellectual property, competition law, data privacy and compliance matters. Some of your resposabilities will include:

  • Act as a business partner, providing high-quality of legal and compliance advices and support to business units and projects according to business priorities
  • Manage ethics and compliance affairs, ensuring alignment with global and regional compliance plans and developing additional policies to address local requirements.
  • Drive and manage litigation strategies and coordinate external law firms in line with global guidelines. 
  • Act as Data Protection Responsible, maintaining compliance documentation, conducting training, and supporting data protection requirements.
  • Manage resources effectively, including budget oversight and external counsel management.
  • Lead and develop legal and compliance employees, ensuring high-quality people management.
  • Collaborate with key strategic groups and represent the Clusters (SAM and CAC) in legal and compliance networks.

 

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in law and admission to the legal profession. Master’s degree in law is preferred. 
  • Minimum 9 years of experience as a legal advisor in companies or law firms, preferably in the pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industry. 
  • Experience working in multicultural and international environments.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
