Are you ready to shape the strategic agenda of one of Novo Nordisk's most dynamic regions?

We are looking for an Executive Assistant & Corporate Affairs, Associate Director to join our BASAC region (South America, Central America & the Caribbean). This is a high-impact role that combines strategy, Chief of Staff/Executive Officer responsibilities, business insights, communications, and corporate affairs.

This is not a traditional Corporate Affairs role—it is a business-oriented, analytical, strategic leadership position serving as the right hand to the BASAC Regional VP.

Your new department

Within BASAC Corporate Affairs, you'll join a region in accelerated growth and transformation. Covering South America, Central America, and the Caribbean, our team is responsible for public affairs, communications, sustainability, and business insights across diverse markets. This role offers you the unique opportunity to build new capabilities, work closely with the Regional VP, and influence both regional execution and global strategy while making a tangible difference for patients across the region.

Your new role

As Executive Assistant & Corporate Affairs, Associate Director, you will serve as both strategic partner and operational leader to the BASAC VP, while building a new Business Insights capability from the ground up. You'll drive regional strategy, influence global decision-making, and make a direct impact on organizational performance and patient outcomes across a diverse set of countries. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the VP's strategic partner and operational leader, coordinating regional and global priorities to ensure alignment and timely execution
  • Building and leading BASAC's newly created Business Insights function, including dashboards, analytics, performance management, and market intelligence
  • Analyzing market dynamics, pricing, competitors, new entrants, and trends to provide executive-level insights that drive decision-making
  • Overseeing corporate affairs, internal and external communications strategy, and sustainability initiatives across the region
  • Leading governance, decision-making flows, and cross-functional coordination to drive operational excellence
  • Managing and developing a team of managers, providing strategic direction while remaining hands-on when required

Required experience

We are looking for a strategic, analytical, business-savvy leader who thrives in complexity and has strong presence at the executive level. You'll bring with you:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in senior roles within pharmaceuticals, ideally in business intelligence, commercial excellence, marketing, market access, corporate affairs or EA
  • Multinational experience
  • Proven experience supporting senior executives (Chief of Staff / Strategy Manager / Executive support) and leading multifunctional teams
  • Solid understanding of the pharma business model, commercial value chain, and stakeholder management
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% (around one week per month)

Competences and Leadership Style

Additionally, you possess strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, advanced analytical skills with the ability to derive insights quickly from complex datasets, exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities, a high degree of organization and operational discipline, executive presence that is mature, composed, diplomatic and collaborative, and a hands-on, highly proactive "make-things-happen" mindset.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in consumer goods or exposure to consumerization.
