Play a pivotal role in strengthening ethical standards and ensuring responsible business practices across the BASAC region. This position offers broad regional exposure and the opportunity to shape a robust compliance environment in a highly respected global healthcare company.

 

Your new role

As Ethics & Compliance Senior Manager, you will lead Business Ethics and Compliance efforts across the BASAC region, acting as a strategic advisor to the regional leadership team. You will promote a culture where ethical conduct is central to decision-making, ensure the effective implementation of compliance programs, and provide expert guidance on complex regulatory and ethical matters.

Your responsibilities will span the full compliance lifecycle: supporting the execution of global and regional compliance plans, assessing and mitigating risks, conducting internal investigations, managing third-party due diligence processes, and ensuring alignment with both Novo Nordisk standards and local legal requirements. You will also represent the BASAC region in global and cross-regional compliance forums, contributing insights and ensuring consistent communication and collaboration. Along with that you will:

  • Drive a strong ethical culture by communicating core values, fostering a Speak-Up environment, and advising leaders on ethical decision-making.
  • Oversee the implementation and adaptation of Business Ethics and Compliance programs, ensuring adherence to global frameworks and local legislation.
  • Identify and assess compliance risks, propose and track mitigation plans, and lead internal investigations when required.
  • Provide strategic advice on compliance topics to senior leaders, ensuring well-informed and responsible business decisions.
  • Act as Local Due Diligence Responsible (LDDR) for third-party compliance and support continuous improvement of compliance processes and tools.

 

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Law degree or Master’s in Law strongly preferred.
  • Solid experience as a compliance advisor in a corporate environment or law firm.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to work directly with senior leaders and external partners.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, high integrity, and the ability to manage complexity with autonomy.
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish is a plus.
  • Regional experience highly valued.
  • Availability to travel up to 20% of the time.
