The position

  • As a Customer and Market Insights Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping the customer and market understanding for Novo Nordisk Norway. You will leverage your analytical and strategic expertise to fill critical business knowledge gaps and deliver actionable insights that elevate decision-making across strategic and operational levels. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external agencies to design and deliver world-class insights.
  • This role is based in our Norway office, and it offers an opportunity to leave a direct impact by enabling our organisation to better understand customer behaviours, market trends, and competitive landscapes.

 

Your main accountabilities will be:

  1. Market Research, Competitive Intelligence, and Strategic Recommendations
    • Map and analyse stakeholder insights (including HCPs and patients), perform gap analyses, and prepare plans to fill critical data gaps via a broad range of methodologies including inhouse desktop and field research, and third party market research.
    • Lead quantitative and qualitative market research projects to generate insights for key brands across Novo Nordisk, including business development opportunities.
    • Manage external market research agencies to ensure delivery of high-quality insights through clear guidance on methodologies and outcomes.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally on competitive intelligence initiatives and provide strategic and tactical recommendations.
    • Lead the situational analysis process for the annual Game Plan strategy and to support brand planning.
    • Facilitate and champion customer centricity, and continuous learning within the Norway team.
  2. Customer Data Collection and Utilization for segmentation and targeting
    • Design and implement customer feedback systems for gathering insights on satisfaction, behaviours, and drivers.
    • Analyse customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, including advanced segmentation and tailored communication strategies.
    • Identify customer knowledge gaps and partner cross-functionally to address priority areas to inform business decisions.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • Master’s degree in business, economics, social sciences, or a similar field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience leading quantitative and qualitative market research projects.
  • Experience in management consulting or market research agencies focused on the pharmaceutical industry is a strong advantage.
  • Comprehensive understanding of market research related to Business Development opportunities is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to provide actionable recommendations and challenge assumptions.
  • Experienced in the strategic process, confident to lead cross-functional situational analysis, and challenging assumptions to uncover important insights
  • Proven stakeholder and project management skills, with the ability to deliver results to complex questions under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Norwegian also an advantage
  • You are deeply curious, with a strong interest in behavioural science and understanding how people make decisions
