The Position 
As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will oversee overall engineering activities such as scope, schedule, and resource capacity and needs, to ensure the project expectations are met. Your primary focus will be to develop and set up the processes for the project in collaboration with your new colleagues - “the project team”, as well as the suppliers and contractors. 
You will facilitate multiple high-complexity projects, ensuring timely delivery within the agreed quality and delivery time.
 
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 
•    Planning design activities in cooperation with track leads and following the process from design to handover to the end users - “Operation”. 
•    Interfaces and coordination between disciplines and handling changes to the scope of work. 
•    Consistency of work, cross-disciplinary quality/reviews and compliance with codes and regulations. You will be responsible for the common picture of design between the end users, contractors and the engineering team throughout the project. 
•    Lead the engineering team and perform on-the–job training for engineers to develop their potential.
•    Contribute to the development of standards and guidelines with the Novo Nordisk Fill & Finish Expansions program. 
•    Collaboration with our main vendors and subcontractors to ensure they follow our schedule, and deliver within agreed quality.

At the moment, the workplace is at our project office in Høje Taastrup, but within the coming year it will be in Odense.
 
Qualifications
An ideal candidate should have GMP and Project Management experience within CAPEX capacity expansions. We expect this person to be able to manage high-complexity projects and stakeholders within tight deadlines. 
 
To be successful in this role, you should have:
•    A technical degree within engineering, pharmaceutical science or similar.
•    5+ years of experience within production/packaging/assembly lines. 
•    Science and Risk-based validation knowledge from the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
•    Strong leadership and project management skills with experience executing projects on a large scale.
•    Great stakeholder management skills and ability to build relations in a global context.
•    Fluency in written and spoken English.

Your visionary and innovative outlook enables you to promote process optimization and digitalization alongside colleagues. Your excellent communication skills allow you to build cross-functional relationships.

You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEX). The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approximately 28,500 of Novo Nordisk’s 64,000 employees. Fill & Finish Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and build all major fill & finish expansion projects across PSQIT to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our fill & finish facilities with the use of modern technology. We are setting the standards for the future, designing facilities we will still be proud of many decades from now. Fill & Finish Expansions has a global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.
