The role will be reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager of Novo Nordisk Oceania.
The position
As the Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you will deliver value by monitoring Oceania business performance, ensuring plans reflect latest thinking on risks and opportunities, act as finance partner to key stakeholders and support resource allocation focus. Other role expectations are as follows but is not limited to:
- Budgeting: The role involves coordinating internal timelines for Anchor Budget (AB) and Rolling Estimate (RE) to ensure an efficient process for collecting inputs and submitting them on time to the Regional office. It requires ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and alignment of system submissions with agreed assumptions, funding arrangements, and required details. Additionally, the role supports and challenges Business Insights team and Commercial stakeholders in sales and market share/growth planning, while also coordinating and validating pricing inputs from the Pricing team, with a clear understanding of the assumptions and their impact on reported sales.
- Reporting and Analysis: The role involves ongoing monitoring and analysis of Oceania's financial business performance, proactively proposing corrective actions to ensure targets are achieved. It includes analyzing the dynamics of sales channels, such as stock levels and monthly phasing, to assess their impact on sales estimates. Close collaboration with the Business insights team is essential to understand market dynamics and their implications on NN sales performance. Additionally, the role requires expertise in systems like SAP BW, Excel, Power BI and other digital BI tools.
- Value Creation: The role also focuses on promoting a strong ROI mindset and efficient resource allocation across the business through analysis in ad-hoc tasks, business cases, and annual processes. It also drives process improvements in planning and reporting, while enhancing the use of digital tools within the affiliate.
Qualifications
- Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or any related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, commercial acumen and ability to collaborate across functions.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experienced in business reporting. Experienced user of SAP BW and FI modules is desirable.
- Fluent English communication skills required.
