The position
In this position, you will oversee a Medical Affairs Team, effectively organizing and carrying out Medical Affairs tasks to support strategic medical objectives, business opportunities, overall brand plans, and the affiliate's strategy, taking into account short and long-term business requirements.
You will be reporting to the Medical Affairs Director and in charge of leading and managing a growing team of Medical Advisors.
This position requires:

  • Work cross functionally with commercial Business Units, clinical research, and patient access to provide medical and scientific expertise for our current and future business.
  • This is a critical leadership role with over-arching responsibility for developing the medical function that will ultimately empower and support the performance of our business by collaborating across internal and external stakeholders, including medical education programs and thought leader engagement.
  • Ensuring that KOL engagement plans and HCP interaction plans are achieved.
  • Developing effective relationships with key customers and relevant medical institutions to attain a competitive edge, market leadership to support sales activities, and to address issues.

 

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in life sciences or a Medical Degree (MD) is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs department experience (desirable) with Management experience.
  • Industry experience relevant to diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease areas, is required as well as high levels of ethics and integrity putting the patient at the heart of all decisions.
  • Recent and multiple new product launch experience with an extensive external stakeholder network is valued, along with experience in leading teams and projects.
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally with excellent networking abilities. Proficiency in both oral and written English is essential.
