About the department
Novo Nordisk has a unique opportunity for a science-driven and commercially astute individual, to lead a cross-functional team as we build readiness for our future portfolio in the Cardiovascular and Alzheimer’s disease areas. The role will be a people Manager, reporting directly to the Senior Director – Future Portfolio & Customer Engagement.

 

The position
As the Head of Future Portfolio for CVD (Cardiovascular Disease) & AD (Alzheimer’s Disease) you are expected to perform the following duties:

  • Lead the development of the cardiovascular disease (CVD) strategy and organizational readiness, driving market preparation, building capabilities, and fostering collaborations with stakeholders to position the company as a leader in the CV Therapy Area.
  • Drive the Alzheimer's Disease (AD) strategy and commercial development at the affiliate level, focusing on business development, tactics for market entry, and maximizing the synergy between AD attributes and current GLP-1 assets to enhance overall brand value.
  • Drive future portfolio and asset readiness by building strategic relationships with external stakeholders in CVD and Neuroscience, collaborating with regional and global colleagues for alignment, and facilitating decision-making and launch plan readiness with Management Team endorsement.
  • In this Leadership and Development role, you will directly oversee one Senior Product Manager in the cardiovascular disease (CVD) therapy area to advance our ambition of becoming a leader in this field. Additionally, you will serve as both a strategic and operational driver for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), focusing on building the necessary capabilities and organizational structure for future success. This position demands a strong emphasis on innovation, fostering partnerships, and promoting collaboration both internally and externally.

 

Qualifications

  • Must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Marketing or Science.
  • Minimum of 10 years of commercial experience in pharma.
  • Experience in Cardiovascular and/or Alzheimer’s therapeutic areas are highly valued. People leadership experience preferred.
  • Proven ability in project management, as well as building business cases and launch planning.
  • Must either be an Australian Citizen or have a current residency Visa to live and work in Australia.
