About the department
You will be part of the Clinical Medical Management (CMM) team, a dynamic and collaborative group dedicated to advancing medical science and improving patient outcomes. Based in Oceania, our team works closely with global and local stakeholders to deliver impactful clinical trials and drive therapy area development. The position
As a Clinical Medical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the execution of clinical trials and advancing therapy area development in New Therapy Areas such as cardiovascular disease (CVD), non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and Alzheimer’s disease. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Mapping the Healthcare System: Identify and map Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and research centres in relevant therapy areas while mapping patient journeys and treatment pathways to enhance site identification, referrals, and educational needs, and engage with patient advocacy groups for potential collaboration.
  • Contributing to Clinical Activities: Facilitate clinical trial success by driving scientific discussions during site selection and initiation visits, performing ad hoc visits, supporting investigator meetings, and ensuring the inclusion of KOLs in clinical trials, while engaging with investigators and site staff for smooth study conduct and participant retention.
  • Collecting Early Scientific Insights: Gather and share relevant medical insights for effective clinical trial execution and therapy area development by engaging clinical experts for guidance, discussing early development data with external medical/scientific experts, and leading scientific community activities such as advisory boards and scientific meetings.
  • Delivering Medical Guidance: Function as a subject matter expert in relevant therapy areas, providing comprehensive internal training and knowledge transfer across medical, clinical, and commercial functions, while supporting the organization with timely guidance and training for clinical staff.
  • Driving Collaboration and Education: Actively engage with healthcare professionals to foster collaboration and disseminate educational materials that address clinical practices, research advancements, and patient advocacy initiatives to improve overall treatment outcomes.

 

Qualifications

  • MD or PhD in healthcare with a strong clinical background and preferably some research experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in clinical settings or the pharmaceutical industry, with solid human healthcare research experience from either academia or industry.
  • Expertise in a relevant therapeutic area, ideally with authorship in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the local healthcare infrastructure, including its specificities and nuances.
  • Experience as clinical trial investigator or sub-investigator is preferred
