Regional Medical Advisor - Cardiorenal
Field-based – Scotland and East coast

Play a leading role in shaping cardiorenal care locally and regionally by translating evidence into practice, building trusted clinical partnerships and driving medical education across your UK territory.


Your new role

As a Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) — Cardiorenal, you will lead the development and delivery of local and regional medical advisory services that support short-, medium- and long-term local and national business objectives. You will be a trusted medical expert to clinicians and healthcare organisations, ensuring they understand the scientific rationale and clinical value of our therapies, and helping to raise standards of care for people living with cardiometabolic, cardiovascular and renal disease.

Day-to-day your tasks will include:

  • Develop and maintain a local influencer network by identifying, contacting and building relationships with KOLs, HCPs and major institutions in cardiology and nephrology.
  • Gather, synthesise and report actionable HCP and system insights to influence Cardiorenal Medical Affairs strategy and the local medical content roadmap.
  • Support evidence generation activities, including medical input to clinical trials, identification of trial sites, and planning and support of Investigator‑Sponsored Studies and Phase IV work.
  • Deliver high‑quality scientific dialogue and education: respond to medical enquiries, facilitate advisory boards, run scientific meetings and contribute to publication planning.
  • Partner with healthcare systems and medical associations to co‑develop solutions across clinical care pathways that improve patient outcomes.
  • Provide internal training and support to Medical Affairs and cross‑functional colleagues to ensure high‑quality execution of scientific and educational activities.


Your new department

You will be part of Cardiorenal Medical Affairs in CMR and work closely with field commercial teams, Clinical Research, Head Office Medical, Marketing, Market Access and NPP. Our team connects local clinical needs with national strategy to ensure scientific excellence and consistent, compliant medical engagement across the UK.


Your skills & qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Hold a Medical, PhD or Pharmacy qualification (post‑graduate medical qualification is desirable).
  • Have pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs and communications within complex/matrix organisations, or equivalent clinical/research experience.
  • Bring strong clinical and scientific expertise in cardiovascular therapy (essential) and/or Medical Affairs experience in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Hold the ABPI Medical Representative Examination or be willing to work towards the certification (essential).
  • Hold a full, clean driving licence and be available for regional travel.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills, strong scientific credibility, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
