The location of the iCARE Coordinator position will be based in Kenya, Nairobi.

 

The position

We are looking for a highly dedicated and motivated individual to take responsibility, to contribute to our overall programme portfolio and strategy as well as our international initiatives and platforms to leverage learnings and drive strong results. A critical success factor within your job will lie in your ability to build strong relationships in a complex and diverse stakeholder environment to drive the objectives of iCARE. As an iCARE coordinator at Novo Nordisk, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of activities across the iCARE tracks and the overall lifecycle management of the various initiatives under iCARE.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Translate strategic imperatives to actionable plans and tasks in line with the overall iCARE ambition.

• Deploy and manage resources to ensure efficient outcomes in line with iCARE strategic objectives.

• Coordinate linkage between iCARE initiatives and strategic business objectives. Monitor the progress and performance of the project components of iCARE to ensure completion of timely milestones.

• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships critical to the success of the initiatives.

• Collate relevant data across the iCARE initiatives and utilize insights to shape the evolution of the programmes.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have the following qualifications:

  • University degree in biomedical sciences, public health, health economics. Master’s degree in business administration, marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Experience of at least 2 years in health care project management (combination of marketing/sales is an advantage).
  • You should have strong cross-functional relationships and trust-building skills, and the capability to be a good ambassador and an excellent project coordinator with a systematic working style.
  • Strong project management skills and experience in strategy implementation.
  • Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost analysis.
  • Ability to coordinate and track multiple initiatives and activities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is a must.

 

About the department

iCARE is our health access and social impact strategy comprising multiple programmes and projects with the allied objectives of enhancing the capacity of healthcare practitioners in the management of diabetes, improving the knowledge of people living with the disease, and expanding access to diabetes medication. Ultimately, iCARE aims to optimise the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes in sub-Saharan Africa.
