The position

We are seeking a Business Support Director to lead a specific function comprising multiple departments, including logistics, finance, legal, and improvement projects. This role is vital in overseeing daily operations, managing organizational performance, and ensuring compliance with Brazilian legislation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving strategic objectives and fostering high-performance processes. This position reports directly to the Corporate Vice President of the Production Site and has seven direct reports.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaboratively define area strategies, policies, and projects for the organization, thoughtfully considering medium and long-term scenarios.

 - Identify and establish medium and long-term goals for both business and people management, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic vision.

- Plan and monitor the area’s budget with attention to detail and financial responsibility.

- Supervise and manage your business unit within the established budget to ensure efficient operations.

- Plan, implement, and maintain the corporate management model and its related policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

- Design and develop processes management policies, systems, procedures, and operational mechanisms that align with our business unit strategy.

- Proactively encourage the development of managers and emerging talents through com-prehensive training, goal setting, and development plans that foster motivation and engagement.

- Build and nurture internal and external business partnerships with fellow leaders and key stakeholders, ensuring the successful implementation of best management practices.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related area such as Administration, Engineering, Economics, Legal Studies, or any related field. An MBA or specialization will be considered a plus.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with regional and global teams in both English and Portuguese.

- Significant experience in a Business Support role within multinational companies and/or manufacturing environments is required.

- Experience in managing budgets and ensuring compliance and quality.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multifunctional teams and strategic projects.

- Excellent strategic thinking, planning abilities, and a focus on operational excellence.
