Position Description
As the TA Head, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Therapeutic Area unit within the Clinical Development Centre (CDC). Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic direction to the TA unit, aligning with the CDC's objectives and broader clinical organisation goals. Contribute effectively as a member of the Clinical Leadership Team.
- Oversee the development and implementation of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and clinical research standards. Drive trial recruitment, subject retention, and data quality targets.
- Lead and inspire CDC TA functional team (talent management, people development and performance management) , to ensure high-quality planning and execution of clinical trials.
- Optimise processes and foster a culture of inclusion, agility, and continuous learning within the TA unit.
- Work closely with CDC Head, other TA Heads, and clinical leaders to share best practices and drive improvements in clinical operations.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
- Bachelor degree in Life Science or related. A Post-graduate degree in Research is desirable.
- 7+ year of progressive experience leading successful clinical trials within the pharmaceutical industry or CRO environment, including strategic planning and team/department leadership
- Extensive experience of clinical trial methodology and the drug development process, including an understanding of Canadian clinical trial regulations, and relevant SOPs
- At least 3 years of leadership experience within clinical development teams
Nice to have:
- Experience building a team and French proficiency.
