Key Responsibilities:

 

Reporting to the Associate Tax Director at Novo Nordisk Canada, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our tax responsibilities are met both locally and globally.

 

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Prepare income tax returns, manage tax provisions and forecasts, and maintain the tax ledger in SAP.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
  • Review VAT returns for timely refunds and prepare reconciliation controls.
  • Support digital tax projects.
  • Prepare and manage SR&ED claims and filings and collaborate with the NNI Scientific Alliance Group
  • Support Advanced Pricing Arrangements (APA) application and renewals with tax authorities, including Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
  • Assist on Transfer Pricing requirements such as transfer pricing audits, compile reporting requirements, and prepare transfer pricing calculation.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Accounting designation and SAP knowledge are preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Canadian tax, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge covering a broad range of complex tax issues.
  • Current Canadian Sales Tax experience and Corporate Tax Return preparation experience
  • Demonstrates keen attention to detail, ability to self-check work, and the ability to work independently.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving, demonstrating a self-starting nature.
  • Knowledge in Power BI and Alteryx will be considered as differentials.
