The position
As the Senior Medical Launch Manager (Cardiometabolic, CM), you will be the strategic and execution lead for cardiometabolic medical affairs pipeline assets within the launch ±2-year timeframe. Through a deep understanding of the therapeutic and clinical landscape, key competitive environment, and market dynamics, you will be able to provide strategic direction and launch executional plans that will optimize the success of key pipeline assets aligned with Commercial and Global strategy.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Lead the Launch Activity Plan (LAP) process for key cardiometabolic brands, ensuring flawless planning and execution of medical deliverables.
- Identify and gather critical medical and clinical insights through Key Opinion Leader (KOL) interactions, advisory boards, market research, and environmental scans.
- In conjunction with relevant team members, develop strategic and tactical launch plans, including medical education, scientific data dissemination & communication, evidence generation plans, external KOL engagement strategies and internal training and education
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, regulatory, patient access, and medical excellence and information, to optimise launch readiness.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Key KOLs and national healthcare associations to integrate patient and clinical perspectives into launch strategies.
- Manage launch budgets and ensure alignment with good financial principles.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Relevant advanced healthcare or scientific degree, or combined relevant clinical and professional experience (e.g., MD, PharmD/pharmacist, PhD, Master’s in Science, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, etc.).
- Minimum 5-7 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with strong understanding of integrated specialty and primary care settings
- Experience as a Medical Advisor (or similar), including leading at least one to two product launches, preferably in the cardiometabolic therapeutic area.
- Excellent understanding of the healthcare system and key regulatory/reimbursement pathways (e.g., Health Canada guidance, IMC, PAAB).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate, create and deliver clear, concise executive presentations.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset

Salary: For this role, the annual base salary ranges from $136,310–$186,310. The placement in the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on your skills, competencies, and knowledge, and how your relevant experience matches the position requirements.
Incentives: Based on the role’s level and other factors, the salary package may include short-term (STI) and/or long-term (LTI) incentives.
