Sr Health Economics Manager

Location:   Remote work will be considered


Reporting to the Director, Patient Access, the Sr. Health Economics Manager will independently lead the planning, development and execution of health economic analyses as part of overall market access brand strategies with global and local colleagues


 Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of HEOR input to the development of market access brand strategies for Novo Nordisk brands together with cross-functional MAPA team
  • Lead the analysis of HEOR evidence needs and data gaps for submissions to HTA bodies and payers
  • Lead the selection/development of health economic model based on global templates, and lead the adaptation of HE model as per requirements of stakeholders (HTA, public and private payers) and strategic requirements
  • Lead the adaptation/development of HE dossier for submissions based on global templates and as per requirements of Canadian stakeholders (HTA, public and private payers)
  • Lead the development of ideas for RWE, HE and OR studies and manage study approvals process
  • Lead the execution and reporting of RWE, HE and OR studies
  • Prepare manuscripts on RWE, HE and OR studies, submit for publication and manage publication process
  • Manage external HEOR vendors incl. timelines, budget and deliverables
  • Lead the presentation of HEOR evidence to payers, HTA bodies or advisory boards
  • Monitor developments in public and private payer HEOR guidelines and practices, and competitors’ HEOR activities
  • Engage with key external HEOR stakeholders and develop network


Education & Experience:


  • Master’s degree in health economics, outcomes research, or similar
  • Minimum 7 years relevant pharmaceutical industry HEOR experience
  • Experience submitting health economic analyses to Canadian HTA agencies and payers
  • Experience working with HEOR for diabetes products
  • Home-office based
  • Estimated travel 15-25 days per year
