Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) Manager
The Opportunity
To develop and execute health economics and outcomes research strategies and tactics with global and local colleagues, as part of the overall market access brand strategies.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Develop and execute HEOR strategies: 50%
- Lead the development of HEOR input for market access brand strategies, together with cross-functional MAPA team
- Lead the analysis of HEOR evidence needs and data gaps for submissions to HTA bodies and payers
- Lead the selection/development of health economic model based on global templates, and lead the adaptation of HE model as per requirements of stakeholders (HTA, public and private payers) and strategic requirements
- Lead the adaptation/development of HE dossier for submissions based on global templates and as per requirements of Canadian stakeholders (HTA, public and private payers)
- Manage external HEOR vendors incl. timelines, budget, and deliverables
Develop and execute Real World Evidence and Outcomes Research strategies: 30%
- In support of market access objectives, lead the development of RWE and OR studies, and manage study approvals process
- Lead the execution and reporting of RWE and OR studies
- Mange external RWE and OR vendors incl. timelines, budget, and deliverables
- Prepare manuscripts on RWE and OR studies, submit for publication and manage publication process
Engage with payers and other stakeholders, and monitor environment: 20%
- Lead the presentation of HEOR evidence to payers, HTA bodies or advisory boards
- Monitor developments in public and private payer HEOR guidelines and practices, and competitors’ HEOR activities
- Stay abreast of national and international HEOR best practices and inform internal teams on implications for NNCI strategies
- Engage with key external HEOR stakeholders and develop network
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in health economics, outcomes research, or similar
- Minimum 3 years relevant pharmaceutical industry or HTA agency experience
- Experience submitting health economics analyses to HTA agencies and payers or assessing health economic analyses at an HTA agency
Preferred Experience Requirement:
- Experience working with HEOR for diabetes products
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in Canadian pharmaceutical payer environment
Working Conditions:
- Head-or home-office based with flexible work arrangements
- Estimated travel 15-25 days per year
