Our team in the Obesity Business Unit is part of Novo Nordisk Philippines, located in Manila. Novo Nordisk Philippines reports to the Business Area South-East Asia (BASEA) with its office based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Position


This position will report directly to the Business Unit Director of GLP-1 Diabetes and Obesity and will be based in Manila.


The key responsibilities are as follows:


  • Conceptualize and implement innovative market development plans to improve the awareness and management of obesity in the Philippines.
  • Manage the life cycle of in-line obesity brands and prepare effective cross-functional plans for the launch of pipeline obesity brands, closely partnering with Sales, Medical, Key Accounts, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Public Relations, Patient Relations, and Customer Engagement. Cross-functionally collaborate to conceptualize, pilot, and scale partnership models with external organizations to further improve the journey of people living with Obesity.
  • Develop effective omnichannel marketing and communication plans for healthcare professionals aiming at increasing knowledge and management of obesity for existing and new products, while driving high internal engagement behind promoted brands. Proactively identify growth opportunities and cross-functionally develop, implement, and monitor cross-functional plans to capitalize on these
  • Identify, develop, and maintain effective collaboration opportunities and engagement plans with key stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders and representatives of medical societies. Partner with Sales and Customer Engagement to implement and follow up on customer interaction plans. Build customer journey insights and address relevant intervention points with effective tactics
  • Work effectively with external vendors (e.g., market research, creative agencies event agencies) to ensure outstanding brand strategy execution. This also includes the development of overall campaign elements, educational, promotional, and public relations programs. Aim for continuous improvement; by constantly evaluating outcomes and effectiveness of activities and processes. Conduct practical and motivational product promotion training for current and new sales representatives





This position requires someone with the following basic qualifications:


  • Relevant Academic degree in business and/or life sciences - minimum at bachelor’s level, but MBA or similar master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years’ overall experience in brand/commercial management across consumer health or pharmaceuticals (ethical / Rx) – combination is an advantage.
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset, founder’s mentality, with outstanding interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills. Demonstrated stakeholder management skills (external and internal) with strong commercial acumen and proven commercial track record.
  • New product launch experience is a big advantage. Market (category) development experience with multi-channel orchestration is a must.
  • Candidates with broad commercial medical experiences (e.g., sales, sales management, key account management, business development, marketing) will have an added advantage. Fluency in English and Tagalog is required (oral and written).
