The position
The Regional Medical Manager will be expected to provide scientific/medical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders regarding Novo Nordisk products in alignment with current global strategic objectives as well as local business needs, ensuring that the profile of Novo Nordisk remains high amongst Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and patients.
The job is primarily field based (>50%) with traveling required across the Philippines. This role will report to the Senior Medical Manager and will be based in Manila.
This position requires:

  • Serving as a scientific expert, in charge for both internally and externally for scientific communication aligned with strategic imperative and healthcare market challenges. You must also execute medical education activities (small-scale regional/large scale national scientific activities) and engagements that is compliant with ethical standards, company procedures and other local legal requirements.
  • You are implementing the Medical Affairs strategy and key tactics, foster collaborative relationship with KOLs and facilitate the exchange of unbiased scientific information (including deep and advanced diabetes knowledge and product expertise) between the medical community and Novo Nordisk to develop scientific advocacy for our products at a local level in line with business needs primarily (90%) through face to face and virtual interactions.
  • You must be able to answer medical queries related to products raised by HCPs and field staff in Orchestrated Customer Engagement - Medical Information Request Form (OCE - MIRF) and assist cross-functional teams (i.e., sales, marketing) in developing and implementing educational programmes that are aligned with the current medical-marketing strategies.
  • You must be able to assist the Clinical, Medical, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance (CMRQPV) team by providing medical information/documents necessary for RA activities and aligning with the medical strategies and plans of the CMRQPV head. You will also facilitate in planning and execution of new product launches.
  • You need to visit clinical trial sites in case of medical interaction assistance is requested by the clinical trial department and help investigator sponsored trial internal process.

 
Qualifications

  • Post graduate medical qualification with knowledge and experience on the following disease areas an advantage—Diabetes, Cardiovascular and other Endocrine-related disorders.
  • Local licensed Physician with minimum 1 year of post licensure experience preferably in pharma industry.
  • Possess effective communication and social skills and has strong ability to influence and work with cross-functional colleagues as well as external stakeholders. Has a strategic, problem-solving, and innovative mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid knowledge on local healthcare landscape and evolving pharmaceutical environment are desirable.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English will be an added advantage.
