The Position

 

In this position, you’ll be completely changing the way the world sees and treats people living with obesity by cultivating strong professional relationships with healthcare providers. With your strategic skill sets, you’ll be opening new avenues to position us as a leader in obesity care, maximising sales of our ground-breaking products within an assigned territory. You’ll be joining a company that is THE front-runner within obesity – a chronic disease expected to affect around 1.1 billion over the next decade.

 

Having empathy towards people living with obesity and knowing their story is crucial as you’ll be implementing marketing and sales strategies aimed at effectively selling and promoting Novo Nordisk product(s) to physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other paramedical customers – transforming perceptions and eradicating the deep-rooted stigma. This is your chance to make a real impact, with innovative and meaningful work every single day. The territory is based in NCR (National Capital Region).

 

What you’ll get to do in this role:

 

  • Identify, develop, maintain, and leverage relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other individuals who make or influence purchasing/prescribing decisions, and execute sales strategies based on evaluation of customer needs, dynamics, trends, and competitor’s products or services   Build knowledge of the full value chain of therapy area
  • Work in unexplored territory and explore new ideas and approaches to search for and reach the prescribers and customers unfamiliar with Novo Nordisk, and develop an understanding of obesity as a disease
  • Use your excellent communication skills and customer understanding to share knowledge and influence in the language of the customer, and differentiate between selling ‘need for treatment’ (whole solution) vs the product/brand
  •  Build knowledge of the full value chain of therapy area through your understanding of the relationship between doctors and pharmacies
  • Articulate value communication

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of two years of pharmaceutical, medical, FMCG field or market experience with proven performance track record
  • Combined sales and key account management experience is a plus
  • Must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and be able to evaluate options and make decisions on your own with minimal supervision
  • Aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information
  • Intermediate computer skills required (Windows, Word, Excel, SalesForce); prior computer experience using sales data/call reporting software ideal
