The position
The Innovations Lead at Novo Nordisk (NN) plays a pivotal role in the development of prototypes, ensuring their practical applicability, and guiding them through final development. Additionally, this individual is tasked with verifying potential business areas and identifying opportunities that link the company's future or existing processes, products, and technologies in novel contexts. Serving as a liaison between business, technology, and creativity, the role demands a multifaceted approach and a keen ability to integrate various interests and tasks. Furthermore, the position involves providing strategic input on integrating digital acumen thinking and planning into the company's strategy process and tactical execution.
In addition, the Innovation Lead spearheads cross-functional initiatives that leverage emerging technology and facilitates ideation processes, both internally and externally. This role demands compelling and clear communication with stakeholders across the organization, assuming the role of a trusted advisor with a deep understanding of business challenges and constraints. Moreover, the Innovation Lead is in charge of mapping internal challenges to the external market, proactively staying engaged with stakeholders and universities, and effectively communicating the value internally. Ultimately, the Innovation Lead bridges the gap between digital, innovative initiatives and brand/portfolio strategies and tactics, ensuring that customer engagements are future-ready through digital integration.
Your main responsibilities include the following:
- Leads the introduction of innovative experiences to enhance company products and services, proposes and implements new experiences for internal collaborators and stakeholders, and provides best practices in strategic design for new products and services.
- Integrates marketing, customer experience, and commercial objectives of the organization, working closely with experts from different areas to detect improvements and new opportunities, while monitoring, analyzing, and communicating innovation metrics to senior management.
- Generates and utilizes actionable agile market insights through digital channels, identifying critical market insights gaps, particularly in HCP expansion plans, proposing and executing insight generations, and driving content generation for digital channels in collaboration with Marketing and Medical teams.
- Works closely with MCE Manager, Product Managers, and Medical Managers to ensure channel fit content is integrated with appropriate channels in MCE execution, brings digital innovation inspirations to the affiliate, stays up to date with APAC Digital Innovation Hub, and educates the affiliate on digital acumen and its integration with strategy and execution.
- Acts as the affiliate execution partner for any external partnership pilot, always ensuring strict business ethics, and maintaining adherence to local law, NNWay, and NN policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant area.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical marketing, medical affairs, sales, or project management.
- Experience in brand and portfolio strategy, digital innovation, and project execution.
- Strong understanding of business challenges and constraints, and the ability to convincingly communicate to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of analysing internal processes and turning them into profitable products, and familiarity with digital channels and content generation.
